Temporary Closure – A426 Rugby Road (Cock Robin Island), Rugby
Warwickshire County Council will close part of the A426 Rugby Road (Cock Robin Island), Rugby on 19th September 2025 (9:30am–3:30pm) for carriageway works. Diversions will be signposted, and access maintained where possible.

Warwickshire County Council has issued a Temporary Traffic Order for the closure of the A426 Rugby Road (Cock Robin Island), Rugby to allow essential carriageway patching and associated works to take place.

Times: 9:30am – 3:30pm

Location: Between the junctions with:
-
Bawnmore Road/Dunchurch Road (A426)

Ashlawn Road/Barby Road
-
Northampton Lane/Rugby Road

The works are anticipated to be completed on the same day.
Diversion routes will be signposted as follows:

West side: A426 → A428 → A4071 → A45 → Western Link (anti-clockwise only) → Coventry Road → A426 (and vice versa)

East side: A426 → A428 → Ashlawn Road (and vice versa)
