Dunchurch is a large village and civil parish on the south-western outskirts of Rugby in Warwickshire, England, approximately 2.5 miles southwest of central Rugby. The civil parish, which includes the nearby hamlet of Toft, had an estimated population of around 4,700 in 2024 (ONS Mid-Year Estimate). The earliest historical reference to Dunchurch was in the Domesday Book in the 11th century, which mentioned a settlement called Doncerce. The core of the village has been declared a conservation area because it has many buildings of historical interest. Some date from as far back as the 15th century and are timber-framed with traditional thatched roofs. Today, the village provides a range of local facilities and services for its residents, including a library, village hall and playground.

The Government has confirmed that Warwickshire will move to a new two-unitary council structure, replacing the current county and district councils. The changes will affect all residents and services across the county, with Rugby becoming part of the new North Warwickshire Council.
