Dunchurch is a large village and civil parish on the south-western outskirts of Rugby in Warwickshire, England, approximately 2.5 miles southwest of central Rugby. The civil parish, which includes the nearby hamlet of Toft, had an estimated population of around 4,700 in 2024 (ONS Mid-Year Estimate). The earliest historical reference to Dunchurch was in the Domesday Book in the 11th century, which mentioned a settlement called Doncerce. The core of the village has been declared a conservation area because it has many buildings of historical interest. Some date from as far back as the 15th century and are timber-framed with traditional thatched roofs. Today, the village provides a range of local facilities and services for its residents, including a library, village hall and playground.

Rugby Literary Festival returns from 23–25 October, bringing a weekend of books, authors, storytelling, writing and creative activities to venues across Rugby. With events for all ages, there’s plenty to discover for book lovers, budding writers and families.
Dunchurch Parish Council is working with Rugby Borough Council to bring free weekly Craft & Play sessions to Dunchurch Community Hub and Library. Aimed at children aged 6–10, the sessions offer a fun mix of crafts, games, creative play and activities.
Rugby town centre will host its Autumn Food & Drink Festival on Saturday 19 September, with food producers, street food, live cooking demonstrations, family activities, music and more. The free event runs from 11am to 5pm across Regent Street, Henry Street and Bank Street.
