Volunteering at Dunchurch Community Hub
One of our wonderful volunteers has written an article detailing his life as a volunteer and how you can get involved.
Dunchurch is a large village and civil parish on the south-western outskirts of Rugby in Warwickshire, England, approximately 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southwest of central Rugby. The civil parish which also includes the nearby hamlet of Toft, had a population of 2,938 at the 2011 Census. The earliest historical reference to Dunchurch was in the Domesday Book in the 11th century which mentioned a settlement called Doncerce. The core of the village has been declared a conservation area because it has many buildings of historical interest. Some of the buildings date from as far back as the 15th centuryare timber framed and still have traditional thatch roofs.

Dunchurch Parish Council's newly elected Chair talks about her experiences in the first year of being a Parish Councillor.
Over the past 12 months, Councillors Sly and Vaughan have been engaging with various Borough and Country Councillors in order to develop a strategy to reduce the incidents of speeding and dangerous driving throughout the parish. Surveys will be undertaken as the first step in the process.
Following the Community Design Event held in July 2023, further community engagement is taking place and you are invited by Homes England to attend the Community Update Exhibition.
