Residents Invited to Have Their Say on Proposed Rugby Town Council

Residents across the borough are being encouraged to take part in an important consultation as Rugby Borough Council begins a Community Governance Review.

The review will consider whether a new town council should be established for Rugby town and examine how local governance arrangements could best serve residents in the future.

Community Governance Reviews are carried out to ensure local governance remains effective, accountable and reflective of the needs of the community. They can consider changes such as creating, merging or altering parish and town councils, as well as reviewing governance structures and representation.

As part of this review, Rugby Borough Council is seeking views from residents, businesses, community organisations and other stakeholders on whether a town council should be created for Rugby.

The consultation provides an opportunity for people to share their opinions on how local services, representation and decision-making could be shaped in the years ahead.

The Borough Council has highlighted that community feedback will play a vital role in informing any future decisions. All responses received during the consultation period will be carefully considered as part of the review process.
