The Government is aiming to simplify the structure of local councils, which could lead to changes in how services are organised and delivered across the county — including at parish and town level.

To help shape its response, Warwickshire County Council is seeking views from residents through an online survey.

What is Local Government Reorganisation?

Local Government Reorganisation refers to the process of reviewing and potentially reshaping the current two-tier system of county and district/borough councils. The Government’s aim is to simplify council structures to make services more efficient, effective, and financially sustainable.

In Warwickshire, this could result in changes to how services are managed and delivered, and to the roles of existing councils. No decisions have been made yet, and local feedback will play an important part in informing the process.
