Councillor
Nigel Champken-Woods
Before moving to Dunchurch in March of this year to be nearer family, I was a Town Councillor in Thame from 2003 to 2025 and was proud to represent Thame as Mayor on two occasions, I was a District Councillor from 2015 to 2019 and a County Councillor from 2020 to 2024.
I served in The Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Engineer for 8 years serving in the Gulf, Singapore and Labrador, Canada.
I then joined the Public Sector as a Procurement Professional in healthcare. I have worked at both National Level at the Department of Health looking after national contracts and as Supplies and Contracts Manager at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust where I was responsible for all products used by the Trust from Cotton Wool Balls to MRI Scanners. I retired in 2011.
As you can see I have been a Councillor at all levels of Local Government and it is that experience I hope to bring to Dunchurch Parish Council.
