Family Nature Walk & Picnic – Saturday 16th August

Cllr Ian Grogan, Acting Head of Dunchurch Parish Council, will be representing the Council at this special Walk and Talk event on Saturday 16th August at 11:00am.

This event is all about coming together as a community to save our wildlife and our village. It’s a chance to enjoy Dunchurch’s beautiful green spaces, learn more about the plants and stories that make our countryside unique, and meet others who care about protecting it for future generations.

We’d like to say a big thank you to Action for Dunchurch for organising this in partnership with Leanne Warren from Wild Routes. We are proud to support such a positive and inspiring initiative.

Event details:

  • Saturday 16th August
  • 11:00am start
  • Meeting point: Layby at the bottom of Windmill Lane, Dunchurch

What to expect:

  • A gentle, family-friendly walk exploring our local wild spaces
  • Foraging for edible plants, with fascinating local folklore and stories
  • A relaxed bring-your-own picnic afterwards
  • An opportunity to meet others who share a passion for our village and wildlife

Please note:

  • The route includes stiles and uneven ground, so it’s not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs
  • Wear sturdy footwear and bring a drink and your picnic

Let’s come together this weekend to celebrate nature, community, and everything that makes Dunchurch such a special place to live.
