Councillor
Ann Coomber
Ann was elected to the Parish Council in May 2023. She has lived on the outskirts of the parish of Dunchurch in Lime Tree Village on Cawston Lane for nearly twenty years now. Her working life was spent in various roles in several different local authorities. So she brings a range of experience, skills, knowledge and understanding of public administration from her long career to her new role of Parish Councillor but is also keen to keep learning more as things change. For example: How are decisions made that affect us all at a local level? How can the Parish Council help to improve lives and our local environment?
Since retirement voluntary work has become a way of life and she has spent several years caring for elderly relatives. Currently one of her main volunteering commitments is to the organic vegetable growing projects being developed at Five Acre Community Farm in Ryton. She is also enjoying the challenge of exploring new ways to offer support to those in need locally as a Trustee of the Dunchurch and Thurlaston Community Trust.
