M45 Thurlaston to M1 resurfacing -UPDATE
Notification of upcoming essential resurfacing on the M45 eastbound between Thurlaston and the M1.

The works will be focused on improving the road surface, renewing road markings and replacing studs to provide a smoother, safer carriageway for road users.
The work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am, Monday through to Saturday nights from 4th November 2024 for 8 weeks to mid-January
In order for works to be carried out safely, there will be a full closure eastbound only from Thurlaston to the M1. The M45 eastbound will be fully re-opened outside of working hours.
I am writing to give you an update on our current essential maintenance works on the M45 eastbound between Thurlaston and M1. We continue to progress well, with a full closure in place Monday to Saturday between 8pm and 6am. The M45 Eastbound is fully re-opened outside of our working hours.
Update
To date we have laid 20,057 tonnes of asphalt, renewed road markings and road studs and carried out extensive vegetation clearance to the roadside.
